Jim McNitt

American artist published in Time, Newsweek, People, The New York Times, The London Times, Paris Match, Popular Photography, and on more than 100 magazine and book covers.

Jim McNitt began as a news photographer with United Press International (1974), worked as a marine photojournalist (1975-1982) and as a contract writer and editor for Newsweek International Special Projects (1982-2002).

Since 2002, he has focused on print-making and mixed-media painting and is currently on the teaching faculty of the Silvermine Arts Guild in New Canaan, CT.
